79. Cookies & Cream - Macadamia nut version

This is a special order from a birthday boy himself. Cookies & Cream cake with Macadamia nuts. I like.....! Macadamia nuts I mean. But yeah, PT trusted me with trying out something new for him. He even challenged me to write mandarin characters onto the cake. Those who know me, know how poor my mandarin is...*Gah*

Anyways, this cake is made with a chewy Fudge Brownie base and fluffy White chocolate mousse top, filled with chunks of macadamia nuts, coated with a thin layer of fresh cream and covered with MORE chunky macadamia nuts! OH! The White chocolate mousse has got bits of brownie "cookie" in it too!

Happy Birthday PT! Isn't it wonderful to start every new year a year older? :0P

78. Bacon & Mushroom quiche with an Egg

It was with great pleasure that I agreed to cook for Kris's directors at The Substation for their board meeting. I was asked to do something "Christmas-y" and so decided a quiche and logcake combo would do great. It was a hit!

The quiche pastry was thin and savory and the filling, fluffy and generous. I stuffed fried bacon and button mushrooms in it along with whole eggs in each segment. Delish! There was an extra slice and was shared amongst the office staff - of whom I happened to be mingling with - So I got a bite!

77. Camoflague Cupcakes

These fluffy old-fashioned chocolate cupcakes are especially for an army boy's birthday. Dawn had requested for them to look army like, in colours of brown and green. Yeah, I know the green isn't very "army-like" (too bright), but hey! you wouldn't want to be eating dirty green coloured food now, would you? Hee...

Happy Birthday Ben(to)! Many happy returns!

76. Triple Chocolate Tart - Novelty

Triple Chocolate Tart with Brandied Cherries for a birthday boy...and his family!
The Thomas tank engines are his toys and his mom had asked me to place them onto the cake for him.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVID!
Get well soon!

This tart has got a cocoa crust, filled with 70% dark Belgium chocolate heavy mousse and topped with a layer of dark ganache and decorated with white chocolate. Brandied cherries are added as an "OMPH" option. *Yum*

75. End of the year

Dear friends,

As the year end approaches, here're a few words to share.

This year has been fantabulous! Many new found friends and cheerful, friendly and supportive people!

However, it has come to my attention that there are some who do not wish me to continue sharing my food with you. I'm gravely disappointed at such UN-graciousness, as this cooking and baking is the joy of my life and when you take that emotion out of the equation, activities become "work" and end up being tedious. Results of such "work" also differ greatly from what comes out from a heart that is happy & with love.

And I'm sure you guys know how my equation works, ya!?
Love + Joy + Passion = FOOOOOD! *GrinZ*

Anyways, I imagine this person isn't my friend and has a spirit of despise. It's sad, especially since it's Christmas and this season really is about love & joy.

Nonetheless, I know my friends will give me full encouragement and support as they have the entire year and I so look forward to continue sharing this gift with you! To a great year ahead!

MERRY CHRISTMAS & AN EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD YEAR!

Love you all!
*MUAH*

74. Wedding cupcake tier

In my own opinion, Old fashioned cupcakes are the best! They're rich, milky and extremely fluffy - excellent on its own with icing or with a nice aromatic cuppa for tea break or a weekend morning...*Aaahhhh*

These chocolate cupcakes are from grandma's secret stash of recipes and oh so wonderful! They're topped with Cream cheese butter icing, ready for a special lady and her hubby on their special day. Happy Marriage!!!
