105. Baby's 1st Birthday

Happy 1st Birthday Baby!

Under the layers of fresh cream and marzipan, are layers of fudge cake and dark chocolate fudge. Divine....

Note the basket weaves on the sides and as a blanket for Baby!?

104. House cake

I'm turning into a contractor. Friends and friends' friends have been asking me to "build" a castle first, and now a house.
M from UBS ordered this for a department party.

It's a Chocolate fudge cake with fresh cream and chocolate marzipan. Lovely...

She also allowed me to do up a refreshment menu for her which included the very popular Panna cotta! Pretty!

103. Building Castles

You may think my absence was spent building castles in the air, but nope, I was building this:

This is a Chocolate Banana Novelty cake made with fluffy homemade chocolate sponge, filled with fresh banana puree and covered in fresh cream, 70% dark Belgium chocolate fudge and a little molded marzipan here and there.
I had so much fun putting this together. A little stressed, but it was a pleasure to "build". It's gonna be so yummy!

Sorry for the long hiatus-like non-posts on my blog! I've been absolutely busy, busy....!
I have to admit though, that I've been building castles...and houses...for WB & M, respectively, though I wish I could have castles and houses like those I "build". :0P

101. Still alive and kicking

Dear friends,

I seem to have problems with my blogger account's posting feature. Either that or I'm not techno-savvy enough to comprehend the changes with its features. Nonetheless, I want to assure you that I'm still here! Alive and baking... :0)
