119. OFF DAY

Dear friends,

July's been a great month full of Novelty cakes & unique creations, many of which were inspired by special people like yourselves! I really couldn't have done it without your support and dessert cravings! Hee...
And before I burn out, I thought it's about time I take a break to recuperate from the madness. Hence, I'll be taking a short (hubby-sponsored) holiday next week. *Wink*

Please be informed that I will be OFF from the 7th till 14th of August 2007. All collections & deliveries resume from the 15th of August 2007.

Do email your orders - especially for pick up/delivery on the 15th itself - by the 6th of August so that I can plan to bake your goodies first thing upon arrival back to Singapore!

P/s: Anything from Tokyo for you guys?? :0)

*Hugs & Cookie crumbs*

118. Underwater World

No Barbie dolls for this young lady - Mommy wants 2 year old Kristen to know the beauty of the underwater world!
Amongst the green coral, sea rocks and soil, I've included some schools of fish, a coupla Nemos, jellyfish, a lobster & even an oyster with a shiny silver dusted pearl! And all these over a Chocolate Fudge cake, layered with soft, fluffly yet moist homemade chocolate cake.
*Oops I just at a lobster all by myself! *Wink* Happy Birthday Lil' Lady!

She added some mini cupcakes along for the children (and adults) too!
P/S: Hey J, your kids are absolutely lovely! Best thing is, no one could ever have guessed you're a mother of two already!

117. Cherry Chocolate Cake

Ok, now all that talk about eating healthy means that good ol' fresh cream ain't all that popular no more. The once so popular Black Forest cake is now, not-so popular anymore...*Sulk*
Cherries though are still much loved. So what does a baker do?

Introducing to you, my latest addition to the Chocolate series - Cherry Chocolate Cake!

This addictive cake is so packed with dark cherries that you'll know (as usual) that you've got your money's worth for this indulgence...

Ask those from STB! They would know - they were the first to get a portion of this delightful cake.
Soft fluffy dark chocolate homemade sponge, layered with 70% dark Belgium chocolate ganache and generous amounts of dark pitted cherries and covered with more 70% dark Belgium chocolate ganache. Choice of brandied cherries also available. *YUM*

And also, in addition to the above yummilicious cake, there was a whole lot of Cornflake Crunchies enough for the entire week for them to snack on! These cookies are made with very little cookie batter, and just loads of toasted almond nibs, cornflakes & chopped up raisins. They're guaranteed "once start, cannot stop" kinda cookies! You gotta try it to believe it...

116. Baseball Fever!

For Ms P. Thanks for the oh so detailed table with the clear breakdown of flavour, filling, icing, topping. It was so absolutely helpful! Hope you guys enjoy these. I really enjoyed making your orders, including the special request for an eggless coconut cake for your relatives' anniversary. I don't have a picture of that, so if you do, would appreciate if you send one to me!

115. Cake & Flowers combination

I do not have very many male customers who order my goodies, so I remember vividly those who do. But this individual, is hard to forget.
Today, I met an earnest young man, who made the long trip from his school in the west to meet me in the east, just to hand a lovely bouquet to me for the delivery of a cake he got for a lady friend's birthday today. He came across as very very genuine - must be in love...*Grin*
Real sweet.
I'm sure she'll be pleasantly surprised!

114. Garden of Three

This Semi-sweet Chocolate mousse cake was such fun to put together. It made me feel like a little girl all over again! Haha!
Yeah, yeah....I know I'm not so young anymore. (I know it even more, cos my back aches after Mr & Mrs Soon's wedding chocolate cups! :0P)

Anyways, enough about me. This cake is especially for Jenn, from her loving mommy, who's making a special treat to bring the cake to school for her to share with her classmates. Happy 3rd Birthday Princess! I hope you enjoy the flowers, bumble bees and butterflies... :0)

P/s: Check out the bumble bees! So cute! Pics courtesy of my darling baby brother. :0)

112. Coming soon - End July!!!

Ever thought about how you're going to display your pretty cupcakes during a party?
Ever wondered where you can get some tier thingy that will hold the cakes you just spent hours in the kitchen preparing for your guests or perhaps bought from Chris' Pantry? *Wink*
Ever not want to spend so much on a cumbersome metal structure that can't keep away when not in use?
Such worry can now be history, with what I'm about to offer to you!

ForMyPrettyCupcakes is a stand so easy to put together, yet is sturdy enough to hold up to 50 medium sized cupcakes. It folds up when not in use and can be decorated with ribbons, and flowers any way you want for your tea parties and cocktail dinners!
The above picture is holding 50 mini cupcakes.

I have limited stock, so email me at Chrispantry@gmail.com for details.

P/s: Those who have emailed me, I kindly request for a week more before I respond. I've been really tied, up and will definitely get back to you after my lil' break! Thanks for your kindest patience!
