226. Thomas the tank engine

For a gal pal's kiddo who turned 2 in Feb! Happy Birthday Nathan!

225. Updates again!

I have to apologise for being MIA once again. It's not been as easy as I imagined it could have been caring for a toddler, an infant and baking. Infact, I've also been helping to manage my parents' (not so) new helper who has the memory of 1microbyte. *Sigh*

BUT all is good nonetheless. And here are some pictures of what I've been up to the past couple of months. Thank you all for your continuous support and patience with my sometimes delayed replies to your queries.

Feast your eyes!

For the mechanic or track crazy fella!

224. Updates

This is a Chocolate fudge cake decorated with the theme of "cowboy" using Jessie from Toy Story.

This cake is a bottom Chocolate fudge decorated as a zoo theme, with the 1 year old birthday girl's favourite animals!

223. Nat's 2nd Birthday celebration cakes!

I celebrated Natalie's 2nd Birthday almost a month in advance due to the fact that I am due to deliver #2 only a coupla days away from her actual day. We had 2 celebrations - one at home with friends & family and another at school with her classmates (and cake for everyone else in school!).

Doreamon and Hello Kitty seems to be her 2 current favourite characters now, so I made them for the celebrations. She really loved the Kitty one - and interestingly, so did many adults I know! Haa...

Here are the pictures: The Doreamon one was a Spiced Apple cake while the Hello Kitty one was a Strawberry Shortcake. Oh! I also made mini chocolate cuppies in the form of Cookie Monster too! I used cream cheese as the "fur", fondant/chocolate chips for the eyes and mini Oreos for cookies.

222. Raving Rabbit!

RAAAAVIN' RABBIT ATTACK!

J was very precise with what she had wanted for the design of this Carrot cake. The rabbit's head is meant to be a "hot air balloon" lifting a basket full of bananas.
J, I'm glad you liked the outcome of the cake despite the short notice given to complete it! Hope "Da Xiao Jie" & your party of friends enjoyed it too!

221. Wedding cupcake tier

Chocolate cupcakes filled with a chunk of fresh banana, topped with fudge and a fondant icing with flowers & vines, all stacked onto a tier that is topped with a moist Chocolate Banana cake iced with the same. This was a request from L for her dear brother's wedding luncheon. How sweet!

220. What I've been up to!

Dear all,

I apologise for the non-update of my blog for the past 2 months. I'm currently into my 25th week of my 2nd pregnancy and having to work, plus care for my hyper little girl isn't the most easy job. I'm still baking and assure you that with the orders I take, I will continue to give my utmost best!

Here are some of the work I've done while "missing-in-action"...

More to come once the Hubs has sent the softcopies over!
Have a gret week peeps!

*Hugs*

219. Chugginton Brewster

How time flies! My good mommy friend's boy just turned 2 and it was only not too long ago that I remember making John his 1st birthday cake!

He's into trains now and Mommy T decided to spoil him with his favourite Brewster in 3D!

Here's a lower half carrot cake - upper half vanilla sponge, layered with cream cheese for the kiddo's 2nd birthday. Happy Birthday John!

218. Precious Moments

This cake was made for a very good friend's beautiful daughter's 1st birthday.
It's an 8 layer chocolate fudge cake (Wow!) covered in huge textured fondant ribbons, petite flowers & leaves & pearl dusted butterflies fluttering above.
Lovely cake for a lovely gal. Nice...

*Figurine was provided by parents.

217. Key shaped cake

An overdue picture of a Key shaped cake for  21 year old's party. Oh...make that a 21 year old princess' party. Check out the marzipan crown in 3D!

215. My Darling Daughter

Natalie just turned 18 months and I'm so proud of her. I continue to pray daily that she will be a beautiful person both inside and outside and be the person that God intends for her to be. I love her so much - even though she's kinda fussy these days (maybe cos her molars are coming out!). I still thank my Hubs for iving us such a lovely daughter!

Now isn't she beautiful? :0)

214. Moo Cake

My good friends G & S's kid KJ had his 1st birthday party over last weekend too and I had the opportunity to design a cow themed cake for them. KJ's born in the year of the OX, hence the cow. The rainbow behind signifies God's promise to G & S. I'm glad they enjoyed the cake and was happy with the outcome. :0)

Bottom tier was a carrot cake; top tier 70% dark Belgium chocolate fudge cake. Feedback was that it was yums! I'm truly encouraged. Thanks guys!

213. Zoo themed cake

I was asked to replicate a cake for Matty's 1st birthday last weekend and here's the result. The cake is a Fresh cream Strawberry Shortcake with Strawberry jam! *Yums*

Mommy A invited us to join in the party at the zoo and Nat had a good time seeing real animals which she only knows from books & TV and she wowed every now and then! Thanks for the support & invite babe! Glad you guys enjoyed the cakes & cookies!

212. Liverpool & Blackburn Rovers

A less seen variation of the LIVERPOOL logo. Thanks K for sending the design to me to work with!

And finally! A competitor! Blackburn Rovers! Thanks P for the opportunity to make something other than Liverpool. :0P

209. Snow White 3D

Seems like people are into 3D these days. It's a lot of work, but looks better than 2D I guess. :0) It is really fun too, to make something a little less simple than a simple round cake!

The above is meant to be Snow White, but I couldn't find a doll with short black hair. So I picked one with dark hair...erm...highlighted with blonde. At least her gown is that of Snow White! This cake is a Strawberry Shortcake - with lucious layers of Vanilla sponge, fresh strawberries and fresh cream. Happy Birthday Karena! Many thanks to her aunt S. for giving me advance notice on this. Hope you got many kisses for it. :0)

208. Thomas the Tank Engine 3D

This one is from Mommy P. for her 3-year old son, Ignatius. It's a 70% Dark Belgium Chocolate fudge cake, iced with fresh cream. I used Chocolate creme Oreos as wheels and cocoa marzipan for the chimney.

Thomas is one of my daughter's favourite character, but I've only JUST gotten her a bagful of wooden Thomas & Friends trains for her from Amazon. I guess if she likes it so much come her 2nd birthday, I will probably make a cake such as this for her!

207. Cupcake pops

I FINALLY got down to making these cupcake pops which I have been thinking about for the longest time! They really are cakes on lollipop sticks and are just the most brilliant of party door gifts anyone could have! I made mine using Chocolate cake and cream cheese frosting, and coated them using (yummy) candy melts.

Soooo, if you guys are interested in getting them, do drop me an email by the 24th April 2010. I'm opening orders for them for EASTER week ONLY, collection/delivery from 29th March till 1st April 2010.
Afterwhich, I'll be travelling up north for the weekend with my family and will be back to making yummies from 9th April.

Hear from you soon! In the meantime, here are more to whet your appetite! *Nom Nom Nom Nom*

206. Guinness

This Guinness glass is made of moist (and really really yummy) Guinness Stout Chocolate cake. It's iced with 70% dark Belgium chocolate fudge and cream cheese as the "foam". Notice the Guinness harp? It's made using marzipan and painted with edible gold dust. Bottom's up!
